Mass Brutality game test and thoughts
I ordered the PDF and a hard copy via his website and read through what was different, it is very different, some ideas make his overview of existing stat's and ideas ex[and to numbers of miniatures playable from infantry, vehicles and monsters all work in a game system, getting my head around the idea I decided to give it a play test.
I have quite a collection of DUNE inspired STL's and these gave me a basis for the stat line and traits, some thing to work from, it actually took less time to make up the units than I thought, and both sides fitted on one page, with the basics sorted I laid out a table using my new 40k kill zone terrain and followed the first scenario.
Working out the points the Imperials were 6 and the Freemen 4 , the game played fast and was fun to play, I did forget a number of things and working out the combat some times stalled, but as I said the game system works. I will sort some more lists and try monsters and other things. If you have played Brutality I recommend this one, or if you want to game with you collection from any period or genere please give it a try..
As always my thought only.
Be safe my friends.

Phantom Creeps Robot by Mike Tongue
As many of you who know me I love the old pulp series and the weird the better. The Robot from the Phantom Creeps serial has always struck me as one cool bugger. At this years BOYL I had the pleasure of the company of Mike Tongue creator sculptor and designer of a fantastic range of 3D STLs, he had a passion for the old Robots from films and serials, I said that a model of the Robot from The Phantom creeps has always been one of my favorites. After BOYL he sent me the link for the creation, and his words were "I don't do requests, but for Tony...." , over joyed when my son brought me some prints and instantly got to my work table. I wonderful to paint and amazing renditions of the Robot. Thank you Mike so much your a star.

Bring Out Your lead Saturday 3rd Aug 24
Saturday at BOYL 24, it was as always a superb day of games and collectors, and as all BOYL all attending just mixed and got on with it, new faces old ones just talked and showed there work and ideas. The tables were to me some of the best ever and I have been to every BOYL, the content work and attention to detail was a joy to see. siege games were about 3 I think with armies painted to perfection assaulting a big dark fortress, and through the day you could plot the progress, some fantastic Rouge trader games with painted miniatures and terrain that sent you back in time.
The painting Competition (we don't ever do one at BOYL) was filled with work I found astonishing again, some talent and skills, which made judging very hard me and Garth were Joined by Tim Pollard this year, and like us all found it hard to pick the winners.
I enjoy BOYL for the company and people I see and know, I class as the BOYL family brilliant to talk to and laugh and be with for the days, I took some pictures of people but missed a few forgive me. thanks to Diane and all the foundry family and staff who enhance the day.
The event infuses us all and long may it continue, be safe my friends
