 As many of you know me I used to make  miniatures long ago, my infusion  was from the last BOYL when I gave a miniature as a prize for the painting competition and  when shown it was greatly received by the assembled. I decided to make some new miniatures and Marcus at Wargames Foundry as always would cast them up. here are the first 2 as green then cast bu Marcus, Im told they will go on the website soon for sale, and I have more in my head to create, And will keep you posted on the new ones. The miniatures are "The Warmaster and his Blade wife from my range of art and characters long ago in new renditions.

CONGO DEMO game at Partizan

 We were asked to  do a demo game of CONGO by Wargames foundry and  Me Alec and Darren found our selfs in the hall, Darren had painted up superbly one of the new foundry Explorers box set and We layed out the first scenario and attack on the camp. My terrain and the other miniatures sorted out  we  began the game.

 Over the day we played the first and second scenario Darren vs Alec then me vs Alec on the gorilla  ground one. We had  much interest and discussion of the rules and   enjoyed the company of many. One pair we  let join it to see the game play and they  were  very pleased  asking what to buy to which we  gave our views. i think many were inspired and  glady got  miniatures to play.

 The hall was quite busy and very hot over the day many people looked happy as they wandered around. I meet very old good friends and new ones in the hall  many who came to say hello Ray, Matt to name a few, I also had to visit some  good friends Ian from Fenris always a pleasure to talk to to and I promised to make him some Darkest African  idols and bits to cast. the master Gentleman  Craig also had to be intercepted,

 Darren did have  some dire dice rolls on shooting and combat.

 IWe carried on playing till time was up very enjoyable time.

 I had little time to take pictures but had to take some of this superb display of forge world ministure. amazing work and standard a joy to look at

 This WW" desert game looked amazing also  stunning miniatures. I was not blessed being able to view many games on the day.

CONGO "Father Marcelin" Battle report

 Today we again  played CONGO, scenario 3 "A survivors account", Father Marcelin is in a village attacked b a tribe his people try to make for an escape from those who wish to capture him.

 The layout set up Father Marcelin is hidden in one of the huts most of the tribe off hunting as the Akebons attack

 Our forces the brave defenders from the forest tribes and the Angry Akebons from the African Kingdom lists we picked around 70 per side

  2 units were in the village at the time fo the attack the others must come on per action phase, the attackers from the  short edges

 more warriors following 

 the chief and his body guard of young warriors and some Ruga Ruga enter to cut off any escape

 Deciding to make a run for it Father Marcelins people  grab him and make for an escape

 moving quickly they seek a flank route

 only to be cut off by the chief and his  body guard

 the defenders witch doctor arrives back from hunting and seeks to  cast her  magic

 the Fathers group is  hit hard and his  people are killed as they try to make off the  land

 the defenders chief makes to engage the attackers

 the chiefs  group again attacks the  Fathers  group 

 he is captured by the attackers held tight they seek to spirit him away

 the defenders  Cannibal  group and  spirit  warrior charge the Ruga Ruga

 The attackers loot the village burning 2 huts down taking the spoils

 They chase them off

 The attackers fanatics and  the Prince seek to plunder the village

 The chief  along with Father Marcelin  escape  with his new captive

 A lion appears   woken by the  commotion

 The defenders chief engages the Prince in combat

 He and his men are forced back form the melee

 The witch doctors group  shoots at the attacking scouts

 the Defending chief is caught alone by the Ruga Ruga and Slain

 The cannibals seeking some revenge charge into the  Stressed Ruga Ruga

 the  men fall back again only to face another charge

they are killed ending the game, the attacker won easy with the  taking of the Father, we both  realy enjoyed the game different  to the last 2 and has some great  ideas and  in game story telling.
